East Valley Water Forum
August 18, 2005 on 8:35 pm | In Travelogue | No CommentsToday is my first day of actually meeting the East Valley Water Forum people that I’ll be working with closely. My job is actually to act as a sort of liaison between them and the Decision Theatre. In the future, I’ll be spending lots of time over in Mesa (near home!), being ASU’s man on that side of the equation.
They were really nice. The two main ones are ladies from Mesa. I’m looking forward to both of them — I have to say, working for women is always so much more pleasant than men.
Everyone on this project, especially on the EVWF side, are really enthusiastic and positive, it seems like it could be a really fun project. I am REALLY excited! Yayyyy!

First day
August 16, 2005 on 11:00 pm | In Travelogue | No CommentsToday is my first day at ASU’s Decision Theatre. So far I’m having a very nice day. I’ll be working close with one of my two closest friends here, which is exciting.
However, what’s most exciting is that it should allow me to make some use of the research I did over the last two years, *and* incorporate sustainable development policy/decision-making.
This is ideal, because sustainable development policy is the direction I want to go in the future, specifically with getting a PhD after this masters. So finding this job is allowing me to salvage some of my work over the last two years, *and* head me in the right direction for my future studies.
YEEEEEUH!!

August 3, 2005 on 2:16 pm | In Travelogue | No CommentsWell, I’ve made it back to the homeland. Sitting at Hartsfield at the moment … will be in Savannah by about noon. Still happiness and sadness together … Very glad I’ll get to see the beach (Tybee Island, where mom’s apartment is) today. The ocean always makes me feel good.
